Increasing environmental noise pollution has been poisoning serious health hazards to millions of children. The horns of car especially hydraulic horn, loud speaker, brick breaking machine, public rallies are the main source of noise pollution in the city. The impact of honking of cars on children is very harmful. It hampers their normal psychological growth as well as their studies at home and school. The continuous noise pollution by horning in such magnitude could make a child deaf. The other specific effects like speech interference, sleep disorder temporary hearing may also effect the children. Due to noise pollution children going to school will have negative result on study. Due to noise pollution recovery of the children patient will be delayed. Impact of noise on children effect the personal behaviour on the children such as fear and over reaction. The urban child develops the organ of hearing in the fifth months of pregnancy and exposure to high levels of noise can affect the immature cochlea, spinal cavity of the ear.
The findings of the survey on study of noise pollution in the city of Dhaka, Chittagong and Khulna, not only establish the existence of the grave situation of noise pollution in the epidemic form establishing the grave situation of noise pollution. This bear testimony to the prediction of ENT Specialists of Bangladesh which reads as follows: "After (20-25) years i.e. by 2025, 50% of the population of Dhaka City would be loosing their hearing capacity by 30 dB(A) if immediate steps are not taken to prevent, control and monitor noise hazards and ill effects and annoyance produced by noise pollution"
